The chat window#
Sidekick's interface is a persistent chat within your workspace. Messages are organized in a single thread per conversation, with support for multiple conversations.
Composing messages#
Type in the input area at the bottom of the screen. Press Enter to send, or Shift+Enter for a new line.
Keyboard shortcuts#
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
Enter | Send message |
Shift+Enter | New line |
Ctrl+K | New conversation |
Escape | Close proposal panel |
Proposals#
When Sidekick wants to take an action, it creates a proposal card inline in the chat. The card shows:
- What the action will do
- The data involved (email body, calendar details, etc.)
- Approve / Edit / Reject buttons
Each proposal includes a unique identifier, the action to be taken, a description, the relevant data, and a status (pending, approved, or rejected). You can review every detail before deciding.
Conversation history#
All conversations are saved and searchable. Use the sidebar to switch between conversations or start a new one.
warning Deleting a conversation removes its messages but preserves audit trail entries in Observe. Actions are never lost.
